Blender Hummus (No Tahini) Recipe

This blender hummus without tahini is the perfect recipe for anyone who wants to enjoy the classic flavor of hummus without any of the fuss. Simply add all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. The result is a thick, creamy, and flavorful dip that is perfect for entertaining or as an everyday snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (14 oz) chickpeas, drained
  • ¼ cup white or red onion, chopped
  • 1 fresh garlic clove
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • 1 canned roasted red pepper, drained
  • ¼ cup olive oil extra virgin
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • ground paprika optional
  • additional olive oil optional

Instructions
 

  • Place the chickpeas in a high-speed blender. if necessary, soften in the microwave for 2-3 minutes before blending
  • Add the onion, parsley, garlic, red pepper, oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper
  • Process all the ingredients until smooth
  • You can season with a splash of olive oil and ground paprika, if you wish
  • Serve as an appetizer with chopped vegetables, pita chips or tortillas. You can also use it in sandwiches, pitas or wraps
