As the weather starts cooling down (even here, where it’s usually scorching hot), it’s the perfect time for snuggling up with something warm to drink and getting cozy. And that’s what the November 2020 Therabox box is all about. Acknowledging that although the upcoming holiday season is full of fun and festivities, it can also be overwhelming and stressful if we’re not intentional with our self-care. Therefore, introspection and self-nurturance are key to this box. So let’s dive right in and check out the amazing products from the November 2020 Therabox Cozy box, and find out why Therabox is definitely worth it.
What is Therabox?
Therabox is a subscription box filled with therapist curated products to help promote self-care and happiness. As their official website states: “TheraBox was founded with one mission in mind: to inspire happier lives through practical joy boosting activities & thoughtful self-care products! Each box is curated by therapists and includes a happiness activity inspired by neuroscience & positive psychology research in addition to full-sized wellness items for the mind, body, and soul! We believe self-care = self-love”.
Self-care is something that I personally believe is vital to overall health. Even though on this site I’m mostly focused on the nutritional aspect of health, the rest of our physical, mental, and emotional health can’t be neglected. Self-care time should be regularly scheduled, with zero guilty feelings. It is health promotion after all.
Each box is themed and you’ll find products that will help you relax, reflect, or just pamper yourself. Let’s take a look at my latest Therabox review, the November 2020 box, with the theme Cozy.
Review: November 2020 Therabox Cozy box
The Cozy box from Therabox (November 2020) is filled with products that help keep your skin hydrated during the cold temperatures, de-stress from all the holiday planning while looking chic as you stay warm. Let’s see all the comforting products, one by one:
De-Stress Wellbeing Ritual Aromatherapy Balm from Scentered: One of the things I always look forward to when I receive my box is what scent will I be greeted by. In the Therabox Cozy box, I quickly detected a familiar citrusy scent I couldn’t quite place. It was when my husband mentioned that it smelled like agua de azahar that I recognized it. In Latin culture, we have traditionally used orange blossom water to calmar los nervios (“calm the nerves”). An although this balm doesn’t have that specific ingredient, its other citrus notes evoke that feeling of anxiety relief. Carry this balm with you whenever you need some portable (and non-spillable) aromatherapy on the go.
Orange & Cedarwood Growth Hair Serum from J&L Naturals: Another wonderfully citrus-scented product from the Cozy Box is this fabulous hair serum. As someone with chronically dry ends, this product was one of my favorites. A blend of coconut, argan, grapeseed, and castor oils, it’s intended to be used on the scalp but works just as well on the lengths of your hair. You can use it as a leave-in treatment (put 3-5 drops of serum into your hands and work through ends of wet or dry hair), or as a pre-shower treatment (put 5-10 drops throughout scalp and massage into scalp for 5-10 minutes. You may leave this in overnight. Wash hair afterward). Did I mention it smells divine?
Two Step Jelly Mask-Hydrating and Moisturizing Mask from Meg Cosmetics: I adore sheet masks, and I was so excited that the Therabox Cozy Box brought this amazing one! I find it so pampering to lay back while the cool essence hydrates my skin to velvety smoothness. This sheet mask is interesting because it comes with an AHA Peeling Swab (9% Lactic Acid) to help exfoliate dead skin cells before placing the mask on your face, which can help brighten skin. It’s so soothing and smells amazing-the ultimate “me time” indulgence.
Ombre Fringe Scarf from All You Need Is Love: This scarf is so soft and snuggly, one of Santa’s little elves ran away with mine! I received the grey-colored one, and I love that it goes with basically anything in my wardrobe. It’s also so warm and cozy, perfect for cuddling up on a cool night with an engaging read. Now if my kids would only let me use it…
Clear my Head 2 Go from Clear My Head: This box really went all out on the amazing scents! The Clear My Head roll-on is a blend of Jojoba oil and 7 essential oils and it’s made for helping with nasal decongestion and aromatherapy. The peppermint and eucalyptus oils definitely stand out and I can see how it can relieve irritated sinuses. You can roll under your nose, chest, and behind your ears for healing relief.
Felt Letterboard from the Therabox Happy Shoppe: This item was a nice surprise, and so much fun as well! My kids and I love writing funny, silly, and loving messages on this board and displaying it all over the house. I also love that it not only comes with letters and numbers but symbols, punctuation marks, and emojis as well. Fun and therapeutic!
Beauty Tastea from Tastea Heaven: I’m a huge fan of teas, and I loved how this one not just tastes good, but it’s so pretty as well! It’s a whole leaf tea made with Organic Sage, Organic Chamomile, Organic Rosemary, Organic Rosehip, Peppermint leaf, Nettle leaf, Hibiscus flower, and Jasmine. It has a delicate, slightly minty, and herbal taste (my son said it tastes like flowers!) and it’s been my go-to tea for decompressing after a stressful day. Can be served hot or cold.
My Truth Journal from the Therabox Happy Shoppe: For this month’s Happiness Boosting Activity, Therabox brings you this My Truth Journal that can help you create the space for prioritizing yourself. This month’s Happiness Boosting Activity can “help carve out moments of peace that are much needed, especially during the busy holiday season. A guided framework based on focus, affirmation, and gratitude to help you dig deeper and decompress, the My Truth Journal can help develop and shape your vision by giving you space and confidence to be true to your feelings”. It’s useful to read it at the end of the year and see how far you’ve come.
So as you can see from this Therabox Cozy Box review, this monthly subscription box is definitely worth it. And it’s super affordable as well. There are 4 plans available for you to choose from: Monthly, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months. Subscriptions auto-renew according to your plan at the end of the subscription cycle. You can cancel anytime before your renewal date (9th of the month) to not be renewed. For multiple month subscriptions, you can cancel anytime, however you will still receive the remaining boxes from your prepaid multiple month subscription and then your subscription will end. So what are you waiting for? Try Therabox today!
